My paintings are doors to personal memories, experiences and hopes. The colors are bright, intense, and sometimes dark, with themes that balance fragility and resiliency.

My work celebrates life even in the midst of global troubles and personal sadness. The vitality of music and dance can be seen in many of the pieces. Sometimes I include found objects, wondering about what we throw away and what we value. I see joy as an act of resistance against despair, and a reminder that there is good in the world.
